Jersey Surfboard club's Matt Chapman representing Falmouth University has been crowned British Universities Champion 2105 over the weekend.
Amassing the highest wave score on day 1 of the competition in the clean 2ft surf gave Chapman the confidence to carry on into Round 2. However, contest officials had to call the contest off due to a sudden lack of surf on day 2 thus winners were decided by heat scores from round 1.
Chapman obviously delighted like to thank all the support from the Jersey crew who were there and to his team mates from Falmouth.

David Ferguson President of the Jersey Surfboard club said " It proves yet again that Jersey surfers can compete at all levels. The British Universities competition is the biggest one in Europe where over 300 students from all over the country participate. Massive achievement to Matt and something he should be proud of '
