The Laneez El Tico Longboard classic results. Contact Cole Jouanny, Josh Le Marquand or Laneez Jersey for more info..
The BLU Laneez/El Tico Classic was held over the weekend which saw local surfers competing against British surfers in the first round of the BLU series which moves off to Wales next weekend finishing off in Newquay, England in September. Standout surfer was former European junior champion and local long boarder, Josh le Marquand winning both the Open and Single fin divisions who managed to fend off 3rd placed long boarder in the world, Ben Skinner who came 2nd. Surf was small but BLU officials decided it was contestable early Saturday and ran through all the divisions till 1pm Sunday.
A contingent of UK surfers were pitted against Jersey's best resulting in some strong competitive surfing regardless of the less than ideal conditions. Thanks go to BLU, The judging team, Laneez, El Tico and all sponsors and Josh le marquand and Cole Jouanny for organising the event.
